Math for how many sts to pick up based on row to stitch ratio

If you have 15 sts & 20 rows in a 2″ swatch: 15/20 = .75 = 3/4 = 3 sts every 4 rows

If you have 15 sts & 23 rows in a 2″ swatch: 15/23 = .65 which is close to .66 = 2/3 = 2 sts for every 3 rows
